适用范围： Covers a method for determining the resistance ( fading behaviour) of the colour of thermoplastic insulation and sheath of electric cables to the action of the day light.Note — In this method, test specimens are exposed to light side by side with pieces of standard colour patterns ( see 5 ) varying in colour fastness to light. They range from No. 1 ( very low light fastness ) to No. 8 ( very high light fastness ). After a time of exposure sufficient to produce a specific degree of contrast between exposed and unexposed parts of standard colour patterns, the test specimen is examined and its fastness rating is taken to be the number of the standard colour pattern that has changed colour to the same extent.
