It provides for the interchange of documcnts in processable form only. This allows such documents to be intcrchanged and presented irrespective of the differences between the processing and display capabilities of the sending and receiving systems.This documcnt application profile is indepcndent of the processcs carried out in an end system to create, edit or reproduce documcnts. It is also indepcndent of the means to transfer documcnts which, for example, may be by means of communication links or storage media.
