适用范围：This clause of KS 04-239* shall apply except, as follows:I.1 REPLACEMENT— This standard applies to electric fans and their associated regulators intended for use on single-phase a.c and d.c circuits not exceeding 240 V, for household and similar purposes, such as ceiling, table, pedestal, partition and ventilating fans. Wherever applicable, the term 'fan' used in this standard includes its associated regulators, if any. Provisions of this standard may also be adapted to the extent applicable to fans not intended for normal household use, which,nevertheless, may be a source of danger to the public. This standard does not take into account the special hazards which exist in nurseries and other places where there are children or aged or infirm persons without supervision. In such cases additional requirements may be necessary.Additional requirements may also be necessary for fans intended, to be used in -(i) vehicles, and(ii) trop>ical countries-This standard does not apply to safety requirements for -(i) fans designed exclusively for industrial purposes; (ii) fans intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of corrosiveor explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas); (iii) fans used in air heaters, refrigerator equipment andair conditioners; (j.v) fans for cooling built into special heating appliancessuch as ranges, ovens, range hoods and microwavecooking appliances; (v) fans for use in ships and jet fans, which are coveredin separate standards (under consideration).1.2 ADDITION — This standard is concerned with safety and doesnot cover performance requirements and the corresponding tests.
