适用范围：1.1 This standard deals with the measurement of water level and the determination of stage-discharge relationship for estimation of discharges in open channels.1.1.1 The recommendations given in IndianStandards dealing with single discharge measure-ment apply without restriction. The present recommendation only gives additions necessitated by its wider scope.1.1.2 Open channels have been grouped into inerodible and erodible types as the characteristic stage-discharge curves of the two are different.1.1.3 This standard does not cover the cases of flashy rivers where the flow conditions during floods are suddenly and rapidly varying.
