适用范围：1.1 This standard covers requirements for plain end as well as socket end pipes made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride for potable water supplies.1.2 This standard does not cover unplasticized PVC pipes for use in suction and delivery lines of agricultural pumps, which have been covered in IS : 12231-1987*.1.3 The pipes covered in this standard are not suitable for use as casing pipes in tubewell. Suchpipes are being covered in draft Indian Standard Specification for PVC ribbed screen and casing pipes for potable water supplies ( under preparation ).
