适用范围：Covers switches for installation and use in hazardous (classified) locations Class 1, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, and D, and Class II Division 1, Groups E, F, and G, in accordance with American National Standard National Electrical Code, ASNI/NFPA 70. These requirements cover snap and similiar switches rated 60 amperes or less at 250 volts or less; 30 amperes or less at 600 volts or less; and 2 horsepower or less at 600 volts or less. These requirements apply to switches for hazardous locations under the following atmospheric conditions: an ambient temperture between minus 25oC (minus 13oF) and plus 40oC (plus 104oF), an oxygen concentration of not greater than 21 percent by volume, and a nominal barometric pressure of one atmosphere.These requirements do not cover knife, enclosed, clock-operated, or magnetically-opeated switches, or industrial control equipment such as auxiliary devices and magnetic or manual motor controllers.
