适用范围：This standard describes the testing methods used to evaluate the performance of instruments that are carried on the body and used to detect the presence and magnitude of radiation from sources encountered by first responders. This standard does not apply to the performance of health physics instrumentation, which is covered in ANSI Standards N42.17A and C, N42.20 and N13.27. The instruments covered by this standard are not intended to provide the dose for radiation workers. This standard does not supercede ANSI N42.17A and C, N42.20 or N13.27. This standard specifies the performance criteria for radiation detection and measurement instruments that may be used in the extreme environmental conditions encountered by first responders. The performance criteria contained in this standard are meant to provide a means for verifying the capability of these instruments to reliably detect significant changes in background levels of radiation.
