适用范围：1.1 This standard covers the requirements for electroplated coatings of nickel and chromium applied to articles made of copper or copper-base alloys with a view to improving the appearance as well as the corrosion resistance of their significant surfaces.1.2 For both nickel and chromium electrodeposits, the minimum thickness requirements apply only to those portions of the significant surface that may be touched by a ball 20 mm in diameter.1.3 This standard does not cover coatings applied for:a) purposes other than protective and decorative;b) coatings applied to machine screw threads; andc) coatings applied to sheet, strip, wire in the unfabricated form, or coil springs.1.4 This standard does not specify the surface condition that the basis metal is to have prior to the coating process.
