适用范围：This British Standard specifies the requirements and test methods offireguards intended for use with heating appliances utilizing organicfuel (e.g. gas, solid fuel, oil) or electricity, and which can be situated inan open area or against or on a wall, or within a recess.Such appliances can be permanently fixed in position or can bemoveable, and can incorporate open fires including combinationgrates, or closed fires, including room heaters and stoves.The fireguards specified in this standard are intended to protectpeople from falling into a fire, prevent burns and reduce the risk ofinjury, particularly to young children and the infirm. In addition itis intended to reduce the risk of fire resulting from clothing and/orother flammable materials coming into contact with, or in proximityto, burning fuel and/or hot surfaces.The fireguards specified are not intended to reduce the risk of firescaused by flying particles, which are covered by BS 3248.
