适用范围：1.1 This standard covers sand-filled protection of electrical equipment for use in explosive atmospheres.1.1.1 The method of protection by sand-filling applies only to electrical apparatus, or parts thereof, which have no moving parts in direct contact with the filling material and which in addition comply with the relevant Indian Standards.1.2 This standard does not deal with the conditions of installation of apparatus nor with the precautions to be taken to ensure that it is used within the limits of voltage, power and short-circuit current for which it has been designed.1.3 This standard does not specify any limit of temperature rise to take into account the danger of direct ignition of certain gases or vapours, arising from their contact with the outer surface of the enclosure and from its temperature〓.
