The selection of apropriate elements contained in this International Standard and the extent to which these elements are adopted and applied by a company depends upon factors such as market being served, nature of product, production processes, and consumer needs.Note 1: This International Standard is not intended to be used as a checklist for compliance with a set of requirements. Note 2: ISO/TC 176, Quality assurance, is considering preparing a separate International Standard on the subject of service.
