适用范围：This standard covers the measurement of various external and internal defects by visual inspection and the limiting criteria for the acceptance of low-pressure welded steel gas cylinders in use marked with a working pressure less than 35 kgf/cm2 on the basis of extent of defects revealed by visual inspection.1.1 The limiting criteria for high pressure and acetylene gas cylinders in use are covered by the following Indian Standards:IS : 8451-1984 'Code of practice for visual inspection of high pressure gas cylinders (first revision)'IS : 8433-1984'Code of practice for visual inspection of dissolved acetylene gas cylinders ( first revision )'1.2 The limiting criteria for low-pressure welded gas cylinders is covered in IS : 9639-1980 'Code of practice for visual inspection of newly manufactured low pressure welded steel gas cylinders.
