适用范围： This standard specifies the requirements of lactometers for determin-ing the specific gravity of whole milk and skim milk, over a range of 1·020 to 1·035 when read in a liquid medium having a temperature of 27°C, and a surface tension of 50 mN/m ( see Note ), the reading being taken at the top of the meniscus.Note — The average surface tension, at 27°C, of milk tested in India is found to be about 50 mN/m as determined by Drop Method.
