适用范围：1. This specification applies to the preservative treatment of 'green' softwood timber by a diffusion impregnation process using an aqueous solution of a sodium borate corresponding approximately to disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (Na2B8013.4H20).Due to the danger of leaching of the preservative, the treatment is suitable only for timber intended for use under protection of roof or with the surfaces sealed with a coating such as oil-based paint. The treatment is not suitable for timbers intended to be in direct contact with the ground or for uses where continuous wet conditions, or continuous contact with water are involved.
