记者从乌鲁木齐铁路局了解到，截止8月28日，已经抵达新疆的棉农工专列共计68列，运送旅客4.6万人次。今年棉农工专列计划进疆223列，自9月起将会有多趟来自甘肃、河南、陕西、四川等地的棉农工专列集中进疆，*多可**到达7至8列。
为了*大限度方便来疆务工棉农工出行，新疆铁路部门在各车站设立了“拾花工专用通道”，安排青年志愿者进行全程引导。在站台出口处为棉农工免费提供开水、绿豆汤以及人丹、花露水、十滴水等防暑药品，并提前与各火车站联系、沟通，做好棉农工的乘降和转运工作。
